Republican U.S. Senate candidate Kelli Ward today announced Scottsdale resident James E. Torina as her Arizona Finance Chairman.
“I am looking forward to Jim’s leadership to build an Arizona finance team that will propel me to the nomination next August and victory over the Democrat in November,” Ward said.
“Jim has more than 30 years of proven experience in forming profitable commercial enterprises, and his successful ventures cover many areas of business from software, healthcare, construction, to real estate development. His companies have twice been placed in INC 500 and he has twice been awarded Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Jim is also versed in raising capital, having successfully raised over $100 million to fund his companies,” Ward added.
Torina is a Marine Corps veteran, a past Washington State University Trustee and Board Member of both the School of Entrepreneurship and School of Pharmacy, and is active in numerous charitable ventures.
Ward was elected twice to the Arizona State Senate representing Mohave County. Last year held Senator John McCain to just 51 percent of the vote and has announced her candidacy against Flake, with whom she polls neck-and-neck in repeated matchups.
